Flash Fiction

Flash Fiction: Stories that are 1000 words or less.

These stories were an excercise in precision. I believe writing as many as I did really helped me hone my style for longer works. I’m happy to have found this difficult expression. Here’s some shorter than short stories available for you to read online. Most are published by Every Day Fiction, who really supported me as I learned the craft–they’re great people all around. They published fourteen of my stories. One a month for over a year. It was fun. I recommend it.

My favorites published by Every Day Fiction:

A Bedtime Story for Breezy

Cyril Mack and the Very Cold Cup of Tea

Double Virginity

Krupper and Jons

Mail

Mission Accomplished

Outlast the Stars

To Save the Disco

Uninventing the Internet

52 Stitches published my flash story for their year-long horror weekly horror flash fiction this summer:

Late in July it Meanders Through the City

It will be included in their anthology.

I’m not sure what’s next for me and flash fiction. Right now I’m putting the skills I gathered by writing it to use in writing BOOKS! (watch for those)
